MapleStory N Guide — Earn NESO, Mint Characters & Sell

TL;DR

  • Kill mobs, bosses and finish quests to collect NESOLET (star-shaped drops). NESOLET converts 1:1 to NESO after you mint your character.
  • Mint a character at level 60 after completing the "To the MapleStory Universe World!" questline to unlock NESO minting and Web3 features.
  • Mintable items turn into NFTs in your Wallet Inventory; list them on the MSU Marketplace for NESO or use SWAP & WARP to convert to NXPC.
  • NXPC swap rate: 100,000 NESO → 1 NXPC. Use raffles, auction offers and careful pricing to avoid lowball traps.

Minimum progress checklist:

  • Reach level 60 on the character you want to mint.
  • Complete the "To the MapleStory Universe World!" questline.
  • Familiarize yourself with the MSU Marketplace UI and SWAP & WARP feature.
  • Have a Wallet Inventory set up in-game (appears when you mint items/characters).

Notes: NESOLET cannot be minted into NESO until the specific character that earned it has been minted. You can still earn NESOLET on multiple characters, but each character's NESOLET stays tied to that character until minting.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Farm NESOLET the old-fashioned way

    • Grind mobs, run daily bosses, clear elite spawns and finish quests. NESOLET drops like loot (star-shaped coins). Use pets to speed pickup and save travel time.
  2. Get the character mint-ready (level 60 + quest)

    • Hit level 60 and complete the "To the MapleStory Universe World!" questline. That unlocks character minting and the ability to convert that character's NESOLET to NESO.
  3. Mint your character

    • Once eligible, minting ties the character to the blockchain and activates NESO minting privileges for NESOLET earned by that character. After minting, your character can be listed as an NFT on the MSU Marketplace.
  4. Mint items you want to sell

    • Check drops for the cloud mint icon. Non-mintable items are marked with an L icon (quest items, potions).
    • Minting moves the item to Wallet Inventory as an NFT.

  5. List on MSU Marketplace or use offers

    • Set price in NESO, or accept bids. Marketplace listings are enforced by smart contracts.
    • Watch for formatting tricks in offers (decimals/commas used to mislead). Double-check exact numbers before accepting.
  6. Convert NESO → NXPC (optional)

    • Use SWAP & WARP to change NESO into NXPC at the fixed rate: 100,000 NESO → 1 NXPC.
    • NXPC is the token you can move off-platform or trade externally.

    NESO → NXPC100,000 NESO = 1 NXPC
  7. Cash out or reinvest

    • Hold NXPC to trade on exchanges or swap back into NESO to buy gear/consumables. Decide based on fees, market timing, and your play style.

Extra: Raffles and special distribution

  • Raffle entries come from daily entry bosses, elite boss hunts and limited events. Raffle winners receive mintable NFT items that go to Wallet Inventory and can be listed for NESO.

Putting it together: farm NESOLET → mint character at level 60 → mint items/character to Wallet Inventory → list on MSU Marketplace for NESO → use SWAP & WARP to convert to NXPC → cash out or reinvest.

Pro Tips

  • Prioritise mintable drops. If two similar gears drop and one is mintable, the mintable one has a second income path most players forget to value.
  • Use pets for auto-pickup and focus on content that spawns many NESOLET drops per hour (elite boss chains, repeatable dungeons). Time invested matters more than RNG luck over a week.
  • Before accepting an offer, switch to exact-number view. Sellers have been tricked by decimal/comma formatting—check raw NESO amounts.
  • Track SWAP & WARP fees and the NXPC market. Converting too frequently can bleed gains via fixed spreads and exchange fees; sometimes leaving NESO in-game to buy power is the better ROI.
  • Raffle entries are undervalued by casuals. Do the daily boss runs if you want a shot at limited cosmetics—those flip well on the MSU Marketplace.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Trying to mint NESOLET before your character is minted — NESOLET stays character-bound until the character completes level 60 and the questline.
  • Accepting offers without checking exact NESO values — deceptive formatting can make a lowball look legit.
  • Minting every single drop without cost consideration — minting and marketplace fees can make low-value NFTs lose money when listed.
