Champions Arena Guide: Summons, NFTs, Battle Pass & Arena

TL;DR

  • Summon at Gem Champions to dodge council estate fees; Premium Summoning raises odds, Normal Summoning is cheaper and can drop soul stones.
  • Link non-primary champions to two leveled mains—only NFT champions earn Victory Points in the Arena.
  • Lock NFTs via Settings > NFTs and check items in Settings > Delivery; mint champions at an estate to create NFT champions.
  • Use Tower of Trials for equipment, manage Mana through champion skills, and use the Mayhem tab for perception-based raids.

What You Need to Know First

Quick checklist and where things live before you start.

Notes:

  • Link your Gala Games account via Settings if you play on iOS or Android. It’s painless and required for account continuity.
  • Lock any NFT champion via Settings > NFTs before trying to use it in-game, and check all deliveries (NFT and non-NFT) under Settings > Delivery.
  • You only need to actively level two champions; others can be linked to match their level.

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow this path for an efficient early-to-mid progression.

  1. Link accounts and secure NFTs

    • On iOS/Android, open Settings and link your Gala Games account first. Do it before you spend anything on mobile.
    • After buying or minting an NFT champion, go to Settings > NFTs and lock it to your account. Verify the item in Settings > Delivery.
  2. Pick your summoning estate wisely

    • Avoid the council estate unless you enjoy burning currency. Use Gem Champions for lower fees.
    • Decide between Premium and Normal Summoning based on your budget.

Premium SummoningHigher champion drop rateSummoning UI in estates
Normal SummoningCheaper; can drop soul stonesSummoning UI in estates
  1. Summon with intent

    • If you’re chasing a specific Champion class or passive, spend a few Premium Summons to increase odds. If you’re farming materials or soul stones, Normal Summoning is fine.
  2. Leveling and linking champions

    • Level two primary champions you intend to use as anchors.
    • Link the rest to those two mains so they inherit levels and perks without individual leveling costs.
    • This is where resource management matters—don’t pour materials into every champion.
  3. Minting NFTs

    • Visit an estate (Gem Champions preferred for fees) and use the mint feature to turn a champion into an NFT.
    • After minting, lock it in Settings > NFTs before attempting Arena play.
  4. Battle Pass and monetization choices

    • The Battle Pass has two rows. The default row is free; the second is purchasable but only via mobile.
    • Buy the pass only if the rewards align with your progression plan.
  5. Equipment and Tower of Trials

    • Run Tower of Trials for gear drops; if you’re short on specific pieces, check the estate marketplace.

  1. Arena and Victory Points

    • Only NFT champions can earn Victory Points. If your goal is Gala conversion, make sure the champions you run in Arena are NFTs.
    • Higher rank = more Victory Points. Play your strongest NFT roster for PvP seasons.
  2. Mana and combat decisions

    • Mana generation depends on champions in play. Pick champions whose attacks or passives synergize to accelerate Mana for your win condition.
  3. Mayhem tab usage

  • Use teams with the highest perception stat for Mayhem exploration. Success nets mines and raid opportunities.

That’s the basic loop: summon smart, lock/mint NFTs you want to use for Arena, level two mains, use Tower of Trials for gear, and chase Victory Points with NFT champions.

Pro Tips

  • If you're short on resources, prioritize leveling two champions that cover your core roles (damage + utility/tank). Link the rest to them and save XP and materials.
  • Run Normal Summoning when you need soul stones or inventory fillers; switch to Premium Summoning only when chasing a specific champion or rarity spike.
  • Before minting, test a champion in Arena and Tower of Trials. Minting costs fees—don’t turn a mid-tier experiment into an NFT by accident.
  • Use perception-heavy comps for Mayhem runs; perception is the stat that actually moves the needle there. Treat Mayhem like gated content that rewards exploration scale.
  • Track mana synergies: a champion with mana-on-hit paired with a mana-burst ultimate often wins tempo fights. Build around resource loops rather than just raw numbers.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Minting too early: players mint champions before testing viability and then get stuck with an NFT that underperforms in Arena.
  • Using council estate for summons or mints because it’s convenient—fees will eat any short-term gains.
  • Leveling every champion individually instead of linking most to two mains, which wastes XP and resources.
