Dispatch Platinum & Trophy Route

TL;DR

  • Platinum is 10–15 hours, 3–5 playthroughs; many trophies are exclusive and replays overwrite progress.
  • Use Episode Select for missables—Episode III excludes Coupe or Sonar; Episode IV picks Phenomaman or Water Boy.
  • Do mechanical trophies in Episodes II and VI; push stats in Episode V.
  • Keep stability up in Episode VIII and finish H4ck3d by R0b3rt and Dispatched on final run.

What You Need to Know First

This table covers the hard facts before you touch Episode Select. Read it once, then stop arguing with the save file.

Quick checklist before you start:

  • Have a plan for Episode III (you must remove either Coupe or Sonar; those trophies are mutually exclusive).
  • Decide Episode IV recruit (Phenomaman vs Water Boy) ahead of time — that choice is permanent for that run.
  • Use Episode Select to farm mechanical trophies early (Episode II hacks, Episode VI battery throws).
  • Treat replays like a sword: they fix things, but they also cut your current run — saves are single-file.

If you like spreadsheets and suffering, this game rewards careful, targeted replays rather than brute-force hours.

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow this route to minimize runs and cleanly unlock everything without throwing your controller out a window.

  1. First Full Playthrough — Learn and collect soft flags (Episodes 1–3)

    1. Play Episodes I–II normally to learn the dispatch system and hack minigames. Nothing is missable in Episode 1.
    2. In Episode II focus on mechanical trophies: complete a hack (Nailed It), finish under time (Burning Chrome), finish at last seconds (Time's Running Out), and trigger a fail via underqualified assignment (Snake Eyes). These are easiest early because you aren't juggling narrative missables yet.
    3. End Episode II with a clean shift if you can (Shift Was Lit).
  2. Lock core choices in Episode III and IV — branch once, then clean up

    1. Episode III is the major fork: choose to remove Coupe or Sonar. "But I cheered for Invisigal…" (remove Coupe) and "Watch your back, Robert." (remove Sonar) are mutually exclusive. Pick the one you want for this run.
    2. Episode III also includes Work Spouse, Fool's Luck, and Overkill. For Fool's Luck you need to succeed with only 15% chance — set that event up and pray.
    3. Episode IV recruit choice grants either "I wish to make love to you again." (Phenomaman) or "It smells very chemically in here." (Water Boy). Decide which trophy you want on this run.
  3. Mid game priorities — push stats and hero rank (Episode V)

    1. Episode V is your stat town: maximize one hero stat to 10 (Power Trip) and work hero rank to Rank 10 for "From Zero To Hero." Prioritize the hero you plan to keep.
    2. Progress Dispatcher rank (Career Development) while maintaining success to avoid wasted runs.
  4. Technical trophies and infiltration (Episode VI)

    1. Episode VI contains Anti-Antivirus Club — destroy 3 antivirus bots in 15 seconds with batteries. Practice the timing; this is the single toughest tech trophy.
    2. If you miss this, use Episode Select to replay Episode VI until you get it; remember replay overwrites progression, so do this before final narrative choices.
  5. Cleanup and synergy runs (Episodes VII–VIII)

    1. Episode VII has the store-based trophy "There. You happy now?" — buy the least popular store item (currently “Cigar”) and aim for Modded by avoiding negative modifiers for a full positive-bonus run.
    2. Episode VIII is the finale — manage stability and romance flags. "All gas no brakes baby." prevents city stability from hitting 0. Pick romance outcomes: Blonde Blaze, Invisigal, none, or split. Decide Shroud and Invisigal fates here (Muuuuurrrdaaaaah!, I can confirm he's a bad ass., Didn't see that coming?, Sorry, kid.).
    3. Finish all hacks (H4ck3d by R0b3rt) and then finish the game for Dispatched.

Fastest route summary:

  • Play one full run aiming for a consistent Dispatcher rank and picking one branch set (Coupe/Sonar and Phenomaman/Water Boy).
  • Use Episode Select to farm Episode II and VI trophies as needed.
  • Reserve a final clean run to resolve all narrative endings and unlock Dispatched.

If you're OCD: save a checklist of every mutually exclusive trophy and mark them off after each replay. You'll thank me when you don't have to replay the entire game for one missed store purchase.

Pro Tips

  • Do mechanical trophies (Nailed It, Burning Chrome, Time's Running Out) early in Episode II when you aren't juggling romance or recruit choices; easier to focus on timing.
  • For Fool's Luck, set an event with 15% success by under-allocating stats and then stack every positive modifier you can; RNG still matters, so save the run you don't mind losing.
  • Anti-Antivirus Club is a muscle memory trick. Practice battery throws offline or in a controlled run—15 seconds is tight; pre-plan your route through the bots.
  • Modded requires only positive modifiers for a full shift. Avoid events that add negatives and prioritize duo synergy (purple) to keep bonuses rolling.
  • Use Episode Select as your cleanup tool, not your main strategy. Because replays overwrite saves, do risky farming before locking in final narrative choices.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Replaying episodes after making narrative choices without remembering replays overwrite your single save—this can erase flags you wanted to keep.
  • Ignoring Episode III exclusives: removing Coupe vs Sonar locks trophies; don't flip-flop without planning your trophy targets.
  • Leaving Anti-Antivirus Club to the final run—it's technical and often requires multiple attempts; farm it with Episode Select beforehand.
